Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an instrumentation design engineer to prepare datasheets, control philosophies and BQ/BOQ documents, while coordinating with vendors and clients on technical discussions. The role covers P&ID reviews, cable tray layouts, and instrument detailing with attention to project deadlines.

The candidate should hold a B.Tech/B.E in Instrumentation or Electrical and possess strong knowledge of SCADA, DCS, PLC, RTU systems, plus travel willingness for site visits.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E in Instrumentation or Electrical
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation design codes and standards
• Experience in preparing SPI deliverables and BOQ
• Willingness to travel for site visits and client discussions

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrument datasheets, control philosophy, DBR, cable schedules and I/O lists
• Prepare P&ID and cable tray layout / wiring diagrams; review RFQ documents for PLC-based control
• Coordinate with vendors and clients for technical discussions; support project team for timely design approvals
• Model junction boxes, cable trays, cabling systems, and JB/panel grouping
• Ensure instrument detailing aligns with civil, mechanical and electrical drawings
