Job summary

ScaleupAlly seeks a data-focused BI engineer to develop and optimize Power BI dashboards, pipelines, and data models. You will implement end-to-end ETL/ELT using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, write efficient SQL, and ensure data quality across Snowflake and Azure Synapse environments.

You will collaborate with global teams, mentor juniors, and drive deployment and optimization of scalable BI solutions across enterprise-grade architectures.

Qualifications

Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics, dbt, or Airflow.
Experience with CI/CD and Azure DevOps for BI/data solutions.
Experience working in Microsoft Fabric end-to-end environments.
Exposure to data governance, data security, and enterprise BI architecture.
Experience working with APIs and cloud-based data sources.
Experience in designing or contributing to enterprise-scale BI/data architectures.
Experience working with globally distributed teams or international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job description

Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX, Power Query, data modeling, RLS, and Power BI Service. Design and manage end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytics. Design scalable data models, including Star Schema, fact and dimension tables. Work with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and Lakehouse environments. Use Python, Spark/PySpark, and Delta Lake for data processing and automation. Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, and transactional systems while ensuring data quality. Optimize Power BI reports, DAX, SQL, data models, pipelines, and refresh performance. Troubleshoot end-to-end data flow from source systems pipelines warehouse/lakehouse Power BI. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable BI solutions. Perform data reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution. Follow Git/version-control practices and contribute to technical standards and documentation. Mentor junior team members and support technical decision-making. Take ownership of BI and data engineering solutions from development through deployment and optimization.
