Job summary

Ofi Services is seeking a Senior Power BI Data Engineer in India to lead the design and delivery of advanced Power BI reports and scalable data models. You will transform complex business needs into actionable dashboards, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate brings 4–6 years of enterprise BI experience, strong DAX and Power Query skills, SQL proficiency, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or Data Engineer on enterprise BI projects.
• Strong expertise in DAX and Power Query (M) for complex data transformations.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent stakeholder management and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into effective and scalable data models and visualizations
• Optimize datasets, dataflows, and on-premise/cloud gateway connections to ensure performance and reliability
• Integrate multiple data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and Excel files, into unified reporting structures
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and deliver actionable insights
• Continuously improve and standardize reporting processes to enhance data quality and usability

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or Data Engineer working on enterprise-grade BI projects
• Strong expertise in DAX and Power Query (M) for complex data transformations
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent stakeholder management and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences

NICE-TO-HAVE

• Experience with Azure Data Factory or Synapse Analytics
• Python skills for data automation and workflow enhancements
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
