Job summary

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to build and run the data backbone for Operations. You will consolidate, clean, analyse, and visualise data across schemes, turning scattered information into decision-ready dashboards and reports for senior leadership.

This role requires hands-on capability with Python, MySQL, and Power BI, and an ability to identify risks, anomalies, and performance gaps before they surface as issues.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a recognised institution.
• Postgraduate qualification or certification in Data Analytics/Data Science preferred.
• Certifications in Python, SQL, or Power BI advantageous.

Job Description

This position is created to build and run that data backbone forOperations. The Senior Data Analyst will consolidate, clean, analyse, andvisualise data across all Operations verticals and schemes, convertingscattered, siloed information into clear, reliable, decision-ready dashboardsand reports for the VP and vertical heads. The role requires strong hands-oncapability across Python, MySQL, and Power BI, combined with the judgment toidentify what the data is actually indicating — including risks, anomalies, andperformance gaps — well before they surface as external issues or escalations.

The Analyst will workclosely with all Operations units to source and validate data, and will beexpected to bring analytical independence and rigour, ensuring that reportingreflects ground reality rather than convenient narratives.

Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduatein Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics,Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a recognisedinstitution.
  
• Postgraduatequalification or certification in Data Analytics/Data Science (e.g., from arecognised university or platform) preferred.
  
• Relevantcertifications in Python, SQL, or Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Power BI DataAnalyst certification) are an advantage.
