Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our global team. This role is for a technical specialist who enjoys being hands-on across the entire stack—from physical hardware and hyper-converged infrastructure to software-defined networking and cloud architecture.

In this role, you will be the technical backbone of our India operations, responsible for the stability, security, and scalability of our hybrid environment. You will bridge the gap between legacy hardware and modern cloud solutions, ensuring our Azure, VxRail, and Cato environments are seamlessly integrated.

What you will work on

  • Build and maintain Azure resources, focusing on compute, storage, and networking (VNETs, Peering, Gateways).
  • Full-stack management of Dell VxRail and VMware vSphere environments, including patching, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
  • Manage physical and virtual Windows/Linux servers, ensuring maximum uptime and security compliance.
  • Manage our global network edge using Cato Networks, handling SD-WAN configurations and security policies.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers to maintain a high-performance internal network.
  • Implement security best practices (Identity management, firewall rules, and encryption) to protect data across on-prem and cloud sites.
  • Manage enterprise-level backup and recovery operations. Ensure that all critical workloads are protected and that recovery procedures are tested and documented.
  • Participate in DR planning and execution to minimize business impact during outages.
  • Act as the primary technical expert for complex infrastructure issues that require deep-dive troubleshooting.
  • Maintain clear, high-quality architectural diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferred.
  • 3–5 years hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud exposure a plus
  • Working knowledge of core services: compute (EC2/VM/Compute Engine), storage (S3/Blob/Cloud Storage), networking (VPC, subnets, security groups), and managed databases (RDS, Cloud SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cloud security best practices
  • Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep/ARM templates
  • Experience managing infrastructure state and modularizing IaC code
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
  • Ability to set up alerting and troubleshoot production incidents
  • Understanding of DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and network security fundamentals
  • Familiarity with encryption, secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
  • Relevant certification (AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer)
  • Exposure to serverless architectures (Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Functions)
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
