Overview:

The Cloud compute operations duties include providing Cloud design, engineering, and advanced troubleshooting for Cloud infrastructure and associated security and networking components. This role will act as the point of contact for Cloud compute escalations related to Cloud infrastructure, network, and security dependencies, and is responsible for identifying and applying necessary upgrades.

The candidate should have proficiency in ITIL and other IT operational frameworks. He/she should be able to provide support for Azure and AWS Cloud infrastructure, suggest upgrades and improvements, and audit their region for security and version compliance against global standards.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

• 8 to 10 years of IT experience in medium to large-sized businesses, including server support, operations, virtualization, Cloud infrastructure, networking, scripting, and monitoring.
• In-depth understanding of Cloud operations best practices.
• At least 6 years of relevant Cloud Administration experience.
• Azure / AWS Certification (e.g., Cloud Administrator/Architect) is a major asset.
• Broad experience with Enterprise Linux / CentOS.
• Intermediate to advanced networking knowledge, especially building and integrating cloud networks with on-premise networks securely.
• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, orchestration tools, and container management is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• SQL and database experience.
• Experience with monitoring, security, and cost control tools.
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
