Job summary

What a Senior Manager Migration Practice, Asia Pacific does at Visa:

TheSenior Manager Migration Practiceis a key member of Visas regional migration consulting capability. You will work closely with the Migration Practice Director and cross-functional Visa teams to design and deliver complex credit card migrations that are network-sound, customer-safe and compliant.

You will typically lead workstreams or small-to-medium engagements, contribute to enhancing Visas migration playbooks and tools, and act as a trusted advisor to client project teams. You will translate technical and operational considerations into clear business implications and support C-level and functional stakeholders through critical migration decisions.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or

Preferred Qualifications

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• What you will need:
• Experience:Typically810+ yearsof relevant experience with a Bachelors degree, ideally in:
  • Management consulting, particularly in financial services or payments
  • Card issuing, issuer processing, or card portfolio management
  • Large-scale migration programs
• Migration exposure:Demonstrated experienceleading or playing a core role in card or payment platform migrations, portfolio conversions, or similar large change programs.
• Payments card expertise:Strong understanding of card network and issuing value chains,
• Platform knowledge:Practical knowledge ofissuer processing platforms and card management systems, and how their features/constraints influence migration strategy.
• Analytical problem solving:Strong structured thinking, comfort working with data, and ability to developclear, fact-based recommendationsand business cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with and influence stakeholders across multiple levels (from working team to senior management) internally and externally
• Confidence presenting complex topics in simple, business-friendly language
• Experience leading small teams or workstreams in a matrix or project environment
• Proven ability to work across functions, markets and cultures
• Calm, structured, solutions-oriented under pressure
• Strong ownership mindset and high attention to detail
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and dive into both strategic and operational topics

• Prior experience withnetwork or processor migrations, large portfolio/product migrations, or significant issuing platform changes.
• Experience inAsia Pacific marketsand understanding of local regulatory and payments landscapes.
• Exposure todigital enablement(e.g., wallets, tokenisation, real-time decisioning) in the context of card portfolios.
