Senior Category Manager Man Matters | Mosaic Wellness
Location: Thane
Experience: 6 years
Reports to: Category Head The Role At Man Matters,
Categories aren t cost centers managed by committee. They re businesses- owned end-to-end by one person who is responsible for making them grow.
As Senior Category Manager, you own your categories completely: the strategy, the launches, the GTM, the numbers, the cross-functional execution, and the consumer learning that compounds over time. You re not coordinating between teams. You re the single point of ownership that turns a category plan into revenue.
This role requires someone who can zoom out (identify the growth levers across pricing, assortment, and positioning) and zoom in (chase down a PDP that s not live, course-correct a launch campaign on day 3, unblock a supply chain delay). If you re the kind of person who needs to be told what to do next, this isn t the right fit. If you re the kind of person who gets restless when things aren t moving, read on.
What You ll Do
Own the Category P and L
- Drive end-to-end category execution: planning, launches, scale-up, and optimization. You re measured on outcomes, not activity.
- Identify and activate growth levers across pricing, bundling, assortment, and promotions-backed by data, not gut feel alone.
- Deep-dive into category performance: sales, funnel metrics, cohort behavior, repeat rates, and LTV. Use this to prioritize what to build, scale, or kill.
Launch Products and Scale Winners
- Build GTM plans for new launches: define target cohorts, pricing strategy, hero SKUs, and launch sequencing.
- Ensure launch readiness across every surface-PDPs, creatives, inventory, and ops- so nothing falls through the cracks on day one.
- Analyze campaign and launch performance rigorously. Course-correct GTM within the first week, not at the post-mortem.
- Build and manage detailed project plans with milestones and clear turnaround times. Drive weekly reviews and resolve bottlenecks fast.
Be the Cross-Functional Quarterback
- Align Performance Marketing, Brand, Influencer, CRM, NPD, Supply Chain, QC, Design, and Ops behind a single execution plan. You re the single owner for timelines, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Convert category goals into crisp execution briefs for each function. No ambiguity, no room for interpretation.
Build Consumer Intelligence
- Lead consumer insighting through surveys, user calls, reviews, and behavioral data. Translate pain points into product, communication, and GTM inputs.
- Track post-launch feedback and drive rapid iteration. Build category learning repositories so the team doesn t re-learn the same things.
What We re Looking For
Non-Negotiables
- 6 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in Category Management or a closely related ownership role-preferably at a D2C brand.
- A track record of owning launches or large initiatives end-to-end-not just contributing to them.
- Comfort with data: you live in Sheets, dashboards, and funnel metrics. You don t wait for someone to build you a report.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams on tight deadlines without losing quality or relationships.
Strong Advantages
- Experience in wellness, FMCG, nutrition, or personal care.
- Fluency with performance marketing metrics-CAC, ROAS, cohort economics-even if you haven t run campaigns yourself.
- Prior experience at a fast-scaling startup where ambiguity was the norm, not the exception.
Why Mosaic
Mosaic isn t a place where you execute briefs someone else wrote. It s a place where you build categories, not campaigns.
At Man Matters, you re working on problems that actually matter to consumers long-term health. The work here isn t about chasing short-term spikes-it s about earning trust and building lifetime relationships.
- - Real ownership. You don t wait for instructions. If you see a problem, you re expected to solve it. Categories, propositions, and narratives are owned end-to-end.
- - Consumer-first by design. Decisions start with customer insight, not dashboards. Data supports judgment-it doesn t replace it.
- - 0 1 and 1 10 exposure. You ll build from scratch and then scale-products, GTMs, retention loops, platforms.
- - High bar, high learning. The expectations are demanding, but so is the growth. You ll learn faster here than in most larger orgs because your decisions actually move numbers.
- - Builders culture. This is a team of people who care about craft-whether it s product, storytelling, performance, or experience. Mediocrity shows up fast, and so does good work. If you re looking for comfort, this isn t it. If you re looking to build something meaningful, learn deeply, and see the impact of your thinking-Mosaic is a very rare place to do that
