Due to significant growth across our Transmission and Distribution business (United Infrastructure) are seeking additional HV Cable Engineering resources to support our growing workload. The role is eligible for flexible working although it is expected that the role is office based. The role will allow for the enhancement of a cable system designers experience and to take a lead role to deliver the full lifecycle of project delivery on a variety of HV Cable projects. The role will allow staff to determine if they favour a technical expertise or engineering management, business leadership career path. Both paths are supported from this role and can lead to advancements in T&D, UK or across United Infrastructure as a whole.
Ensure the design outputs assigned, delivered against the allocated programme and budget and to the expected quality. It is critical that this role works closely with the site operations team to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of projects.
Proven experience in working to British and European design standards and codes.
Experience of providing engineering deliverables to cable construction activities including the planning and delivery of the works.
Awareness of key Health and Safety impacts on HV cable construction contracts.
Fluent spoken and written English language.
Ability to work maturely in a diverse team.
Bachelor Engineering Degree in STEM subject preferably with Electrical Engineering content.
