Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a BIM Engineer specializing in MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit and Navisworks.
• Ensure models comply with BEPs and LOD standards.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to resolve clashes and coordinate designs.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks.
• Extract construction documents, shop drawings, and schedules from BIM models.
• Adhere to US/UK standards and project requirements (ASHRAE, IPC, UPC, BS).
• Conduct model audits and implement QA/QC processes.
• Support Dynamo script development for model automation.
• Provide BIM workflow guidance to junior team members.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled BIM Engineer – Mechanical & Plumbing to join our dynamic team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in creating, managing, and coordinating detailed BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of MEP designs into project workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit and Navisworks.
• Ensure models comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve clashes and ensure coordinated design.
• Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks.
• Extract accurate construction documents, shop drawings, and schedules from BIM models.
• Ensure compliance with applicable US/UK standards (e.g., ASHRAE, IPC, UPC, BS Standards) and project requirements.
• Conduct regular model audits to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Implement QA/QC processes to ensure model integrity and design consistency.
• Support the development and implementation of Dynamo scripts for model automation.
• Provide technical guidance on BIM workflows and best practices to junior team members.
• Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and client discussions.
• Address RFIs and provide MEP-related solutions during all project phases.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• Experience as a BIM Engineer specializing in MEP systems.
• Experience working on US/UK projects is must.

Software Proficiency

• Expertise in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and Navisworks.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dynamo, and BIM 360.
• Familiarity with design tools like HAP, Trace 700, or similar is a plus.

Standards Knowledge

• Strong understanding of ASHRAE, IPC, UPC, BS Standards, and other relevant US/UK codes.
