Job summary

BIM Modeling Services India is seeking a talented BIM Coordinator - MEP to lead BIM model and drawing production for international projects. The role requires coordinating with multiple discipline leads, ensuring compliance with EIR and company standards, and advancing BIM execution plans.

You will mentor team members, perform QA/QC on technical drawings, and support large, complex BIM environments across regions, including US/Canada. Excellent BIM software skills are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

We are currently hiring a talented and motivated BIM Coordinator - MEP to become a key member of our team. As a BIM Coordinator specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, you will be instrumental in the seamless coordination and implementation of BIM processes for MEP projects. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of various international projects.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge and engineering production skills in a BIM environment for projects.
• Lead a team in BIM model and drawing production, coordinating with discipline leads of multiple disciplines.
• Ensure model delivery compliance with project and company standards, meeting clients' Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
• Coordinate clash detection and resolution activities.
• Collaborate with lead engineers and other discipline leads for effective coordination.
• Support the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans and project delivery strategy.
• Assist clients in coordinating multi-discipline BIM environments for large or complex projects.

Role Accountabilities

• Communicate regularly with clients, providing project status reports.
• Coordinate clash detection and resolution activities, creating federated models from different discipline models.
• Provide oversight on workflow and address issues with clients.
• Support engineers in adhering to drawing standards and using BIM software.
• Mentor team members, assist with modeling, and address queries.
• Ensure the latest model is up to date and stored correctly in the project management system.
• Develop skills in managing large and complex BIM projects.
• Perform QA/QC on technical drawings before submission to the BIM Manager for final review.
• Oversee drawing production, ensuring adherence to company/project standards and procedures (e.g., BIM Execution Plan).
• Verify Quality Requirements In Accordance With Company Systems.
• If needed, provide advanced BIM training on software and processes to the team.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend schematics, technical submittals, drawings, and project specifications.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Experience in setting up and producing Revit models.
• Ensuring there are enough resources and inputs to deliver projects effectively.
• Ability to plan deliverables systematically.
• Create service designs to support the development of coordinated models.
• Provide input into technical standards, templates, workflows, and procedures to enhance the quality of deliverables.
• Facilitate BIM Standards & ISO 19650 standards development and implementation.
• Flexibility to work with US/Canada Region Standards.
• Knowledge of national codes is essential for compliance and safety regulations.
