The role requires strong database engineering expertise, particularly in Azure SQL, with a focus on query performance, optimization, and database design. You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performing APIs and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Build scalable, high-performance systems using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and asynchronous services where required
• Design and optimize database structures in Azure SQL and other relational databases
• Create and manage Views, Indexes, and Stored Procedures for performance optimization
• Analyze query execution plans and optimize complex SQL queries for high performance
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Ensure code quality, performance, security, and scalability
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with proper documentation
