Job summary

Amgen SA is seeking an experienced UX Designer to support the Amgen Design System, driving scalable UI components for multiple brands. You will work in Figma, align with engineering for accurate implementation, and ensure accessibility and consistency across the ecosystem.

You will lead brand onboarding, manage roadmaps, track progress, and maintain governance processes. This role emphasizes collaboration with India-based teams, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of web development, content management, or digital product leadership, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• 5-9 overall experience in related field.
• Proven expertise with Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe Assets, Sites, Creative Suite, Content Analytics, and Workfront.
• Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management, content publishing/deployment, and delivery processes.
• Knowledge of Cloud-native approaches and platforms including AWS or Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of AEM as Cloud Service.
• Strong proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, tokens).
• Understanding of frontend technologies like Bootstrap, ReactJS, Handlebars, Angular, CSS3, and HTML 5.
• Experience working on a team of developers.
• Strong understanding of digital compliance, web accessibility, and regulated industry standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and content specialists based in India to ensure smooth project execution and cross-functional alignment.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Support day-to-day operations by participating in sprint planning sessions, tracking tasks, and coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams as needed.
• Establish robust workflows for development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within Adobe Experience Manager and other Adobe tools.
• Monitor performance metrics, manage A/B testing efforts, and champion data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and compliance guidelines are consistently implemented.
• Partner with global marketing, product, and digital technology teams to deliver integrated, impactful experiences.
• Support clear and timely communication of project updates, key metrics, and progress to global stakeholders across time zones, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Collaborate with other offshore/onshore development teams, ensuring smooth and effective execution.

About the Role:

As a UX Designer supporting the Amgen Design System, you will contribute to the creation, evolution, and adoption of scalable UI components and patterns across multiple brands. You’ll work within Figma and partner closely with engineering to ensure design intent translates cleanly into implementation. This role blends hands-on design systems work with cross-brand support, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and usability across the ecosystem.

Contributing to Strategic Initiatives:

• Lead brand onboarding into the Amgen Design System (intake, planning, tracking).

• Manage roadmaps, timelines, and migration plans across multiple workstreams.

• Establish and maintain tracking systems (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira).

• Coordinate across UX, engineering, and AEM teams to ensure aligned delivery.

• Drive communication and transparency (status updates, release notes, stakeholder syncs).

• Support governance processes (component intake, prioritization, approvals).

• Facilitate office hours, training sessions, and documentation rollout.
