Job summary

GE Healthcare Private Limited is seeking a Senior AEM Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performing digital experiences using AEM on Cloud Services and Edge Delivery.

You will leverage AI-driven capabilities, integrate GraphQL APIs, and optimize performance to deliver fast, secure web experiences across platforms, collaborating with architects, designers, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5–6 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on AEM development.
• Strong knowledge of AEM architecture: Sling, JCR, OSGi, the Dispatcher, and Core Components.
• Hands-on experience with AEM Edge Delivery Services, including block development and document-based authoring.
• Strong front-end skills in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3, plus responsive design and web accessibility (WCAG).
• Proficiency in Java and Maven-based AEM project structure.
• Experience with headless AEM: Content Fragments and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Adobe Cloud Manager.
• Solid understanding of web performance optimisation and SEO best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain websites and components on AEM as a Cloud Service (Sites and Assets).
• Build and optimise sites on AEM Edge Delivery Services, including blocks written in vanilla JavaScript, CSS and HTML, document-based authoring and Universal Editor.
• Develop custom AEM components, templates, Sling Models, OSGi services and workflows.
• Integrate AI capabilities into AEM solutions, e.g., generative content with AEM GenAI features, smart tagging and metadata, personalization, LLM-based APIs for content creation, search or summarisation.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality, such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
• Optimise site performance and Core Web Vitals, aiming for near-perfect Lighthouse scores on EDS projects.
• Integrate AEM with other Adobe Experience Cloud products and third-party systems via REST APIs and headless/GraphQL delivery.
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and support CI/CD pipelines in Cloud Manager.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to development standards and best practices.

Responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services. Working in the areas of machine, cloud, platform and/or application. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation. We're looking for a Senior AEM Developer to build and improve high-performing digital experiences on Adobe Experience Manager. You will work on AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services (EDS), and help bring AI-driven capabilities into our content and development workflows. You'll work closely with architects, designers, content authors and product teams to deliver fast, scalable and secure web experiences.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Adobe Certified Expert or Professional in AEM Sites Developer.
• Experience with AEM Sites Optimizer, Adobe Target or Adobe Analytics.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) or AI‑powered search.
• Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (React or Next.js) for headless implementations.
• Experience in regulated industries, such as healthcare or life sciences.
