Job summary

Sutherland in Chennai, India, seeks an airline reservations specialist to handle Amadeus GDS bookings, ticketing, and complex itineraries. The role requires expertise in fare rules, schedule changes, and multi-currency bookings, with a focus on accuracy and cost control.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year of Amadeus experience, familiarity with Farelogix or NDC a plus, and strong MS Office skills. This is a rotational shift role with on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Manage fare rules, schedule changes, name corrections, MCOs, residuals, and manual fare calculations.
• Process complex itineraries, including international, multi-city, and multi-currency bookings.
• Ensure compliance with airline fare rules and SOPs.
• Maintain accuracy to minimize airline debit memos and losses.
• Coordinate with airlines and internal teams to resolve booking and ticketing issues.
• Maintain booking records and provide timely travel-related support.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy to minimize airline debit memos and financial losses.
• Coordinate with airlines and internal teams to resolve booking and ticketing issues.
• Maintain booking records and provide timely support for travel-related requests.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Amadeus working experience, must be adept with the latest versions of GDS. Farelogix and NDC experience a plus

• Deep SME in fare rules, schedule changes, name corrections, MCOs, Residuals, manual calculations, complex itineraries (international, multi-destination, different currencies), etc. Experience in Ticket issuance, reissuances (exchanges) a plus
• Track record of low error rate; low airline debit memos/financial losses
• Microsoft Office application skills, including Outlook, and Excel.

Minimum Degree / High school degree or equivalent (required)
