Job summary

Amgen in Hyderabad is seeking an onsite Citrix Engineer to manage and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops across a global enterprise. You will work hands‑on with Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Citrix Cloud, Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.

The role requires strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python), analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset to support 24/5 operations and on‑call rotations. Onsite work is in Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 5–9 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix ADC/NetScaler.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy knowledge.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and on‑prem to cloud migrations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance
• Maintain health and resiliency of Citrix environments including Citrix Cloud and Citrix ADC (NetScaler)
• Perform patching, updates, and system upgrades in line with enterprise change management policies
• Troubleshoot complex Citrix/ user session issues and back-end integration
• Serve as technical escalation point for Citrix-related issues in IT operations
• Document configurations, SOPs, and architecture decisions to support audits and operational continuity
• Collaborate with project and security teams to support deployments, audits, and lifecycle initiatives
• Mentor support teams and transfer knowledge for coverage
• Monitor system alerts, identify systemic issues, and implement long‑term corrective actions

ABOUT AMGEN

Role Description: This onsite role is part of the global Citrix operations team, supporting 24/7 coverage to ensure operational continuity and infrastructure resilience. This role should manage, optimize, and support Amgen Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments across global enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands‑on expertise in Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Load Balancer combined with knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Citrix solutions that support Amgens mission‑critical applications and end‑user platforms. It involves close collaboration with infrastructure teams, technical leads, and global support teams to deliver highly available and secure virtual desktop solutions. Attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence are essential. Please note, this is an on‑site role based in Hyderabad.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's OR Master's degree with 5 - 9 years of experience

Functional Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in managing and supporting enterprise‑scale Citrix environments.
• Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix Cloud administration and architecture
• Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V
• Strong Scripting Skills (PowerShell Python)

Shift Information
