Job summary

Roundglass Wellbeing Pvt Ltd in Mohali seeks a Sr. Associate, Compliance to strengthen governance and ensure strict FCRA compliance and NGO financial controls. You will oversee foreign contributions, donor reporting, and regulatory filings, collaborating with Finance, HR, Legal and external auditors.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in NGO finance/compliance, CA or equivalent, and hands-on experience in grant accounting, SOP development and risk management. Reports to the CFO/Head of Finance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure end-to-end FCRA compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise accounting of foreign contributions with donor/project breakdown.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and governance frameworks.
• Monitor utilization of foreign contributions against approved budgets.
• Coordinate internal audits, risk assessments, and regulatory responses.
• Maintain records and prepare dashboards and donor reports.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Auditors.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance& Compliance professional to strengthen the organization’s governance andcompliance framework. The role will be responsible for managing theFoundation’s finance operations, Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA)compliance, statutory and regulatory reporting, grant accounting, financialcontrols, and audit requirements. The role will ensure that all domestic andforeign contributions are received, accounted for, utilized, and reported inaccordance with applicable laws, donor requirements, and internal policies.

Theposition will work closely with Finance, Programs, Fundraising, Procurement,Human Resources (HR), Legal, auditors, banks, and senior management to ensurestrong financial governance and compliance. The ideal candidate should havestrong working experience in a corporate environment, excellent stakeholder andreporting skills, and experience working in a multi-functional businessenvironment.

What you’ll do

• · Ensure end-to-end compliance with theForeign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) and applicable rules,notifications and regulatory requirements.
• · Supervise proper accounting anddocumentation of foreign contributions, including donor-wise, project-wise,location-wise and purpose-wise tracking.
• · Develop and review to implementcompliance policies, SOPs, controls and governance frameworks for Foundation.
• · Monitor utilization of foreigncontributions against approved objectives and donor/project budgets. Ensurethat foreign contribution is not utilized for prohibited or non-permissiblepurposes.
• · Conduct periodic compliance reviews, riskassessments and internal audits to identify gaps and recommend correctiveactions.
• · Maintain complete records, supportingdocuments, donor correspondence and utilization evidence for regulatoryinspection.
• · Partner with Legal, Finance, HR,Procurement, Operations and other teams to ensure adherence to applicableregulations and internal policies.
• · Coordinate with external consultants,auditors, and government authorities, wherever required. Coordinate FCRAaudits, regulatory reviews and responses to observations/notices.
• · Prepare periodic compliance dashboardsand management reports, highlighting risks, pending actions and keydevelopments.
• · Conduct compliance awareness sessions andensure employees understand relevant organizational policies and regulatoryrequirements.
• · Establish strong documentation andrecord-management practices to ensure audit readiness.
• o Maintainseparate and appropriate accounting/tracking for:
• o Domesticfunds
• o FCRAfunds
• o Restrictedgrants
• o Unrestrictedfunds
• o Project/program-specificfunds
• · Review grant budgets versus actualexpenditure and identify variances. Prepare donor financial reports andutilization statements.
• · Coordinate with Program/Fundraising teamsbefore financial commitments are made to donors.

Requirements

Skills& Qualifications

• · Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
• · Chartered Accountancy Intermediate (CA Inter), Cost and ManagementAccountant (CMA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, or Masterof Commerce (M.Com) with strong Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) andNon-Governmental Organization (NGO) experience may also be considered for theManager level.
• · 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably with an NGO, Foundation, orSection 8 Company.
• · Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in FCRA and NGO financialcompliance is mandatory.
• · Experience in grant accounting, donor reporting, internal controls, andStandard Operating Procedure (SOP) development.
• · Good understanding of applicable corporate, statutory, and regulatoryrequirements.
• · High integrity, resilience, accountability, and cultural sensitivity.
• · Reports to: Chief FinancialOfficer (CFO) / Head of Finance / Finance Controller.
