Job summary

Northern Trust in Bengaluru seeks a skilled analyst with strong accounting knowledge to support daily cash and FX reconciliations for a global hedge fund administrator. You will handle cash transactions, prepare reconciliations, and produce daily cash/FX reports within a high-volume trading environment.

The role requires 3+ years in financial services, including hedge funds or investment management, and a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Financial Services, preferably Cash and FX.
• Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred.
• Good accounting knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline; Masters’ degree would be an advantage.
• Business exposure to Equity or Credit or some complex derivatives like CDS, IRS, TRS & other OTC products.

Role

The job requires working for a Global Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. This individual will have a strong technical Accounting background; experience working within the Financial Services industry. The position involves performing daily reconciliation of transactions, security positions and cash for all trading activity generated by clients.

• FX daily metrics
• Communicate effectively with team members, internal groups and external counterparties
• Develop action plan for resolution of outstanding issues
• Escalate issues that fall outside normal resolution timeframe
• Respond quickly and accurately to requests in a high volume, time sensitive trading environment.

Accountabilities

• Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role

Qualifications

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Financial Services environment, preferably, performing processes involving Cash and FX

Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred.

Good accounting knowledge

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline. Masters’ degree would be an advantage.

Business exposure to Equity or Credit or at least some complex derivative products like CDS, IRS, TRS & other OTC products.
