Job summary

Sigma Electric is seeking an experienced SQA for Development to ensure quality in new product development. The role focuses on driving supplier quality systems, PPAP compliance, and zero-defect initiatives across supplier networks in Pune region.

The candidate should have 10–12 years in SQA, strong English communication, and expertise in Power BI for reporting. Location is at manufacturing plants and office facilities in Chakan, Pune.

Qualifications

BE in Mechanical Engineering with 10–12 years of SQA experience.
Experience in NPD/PPAP and supplier quality systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Verify and establish pre-defined development process controls at supplier end.
Review and sign off prelaunch PFD and Control plan.
Finalize quality plan for receipt inspection team and sign off inspection agreements with suppliers.
Verify latest drawings and standards with suppliers.
Ensure PPAP documents are available and verified per Sigma requirements.
Conduct process qualification of special processes.
Lead 5th level PPAP audits and close gaps with follow-up.
Provide final approvals when QA requirements are met.
Analyze and implement corrective actions for QA issues in new development parts.
Ensure readiness for customer audits at supplier end for development products.
Conduct supplier audits as per plan and present NC reports.
Close NC and OFI with suppliers and drive zero-defect initiatives.
Summarize PPAP availability status and present dashboards to management.

Position Details

Name of Position : SQA - Development AM / DM

1. Job Objective

To leverage expertise in quality assurance of New Product Development to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that exceed customer expectations, by driving continuous improvement activities, supplier management system, zero defect drive & Re-PPAP which help to meet compliance with industry standards at Supplier End.

2. Key Role & Responsibilities

NPD -Verify & Ensure Pre- defined development process controls establishment at supplier end.
To review & sign off Prelaunch PFD & Control plan.
Finalize quality plan for receipt inspection team & sign off inspection agreements with suppliers.
Verify & ensure latest drawings & std. availability with suppliers.
Ensure PPAP documents are available from supplier & verification as per sigma requirements & correct the same
To conduct process qualification of special process.
Conduct 5th Level PPAP audit & close observed gaps with follow up.
Provide final Approval if adherence to QA requirement.
To review, analyze & implement corrective & permanent corrective actions for quality issues observed at Sigma due to new development parts.
Ensure readiness of Customer audits at supplier end related Development products.
Supplier Audit - Conducting Supplier audits as per plan.
Summarize NC report for the gaps observed, finalize audit report & sign off with supplier.
Follow up & closure of NC & OFI with follow up.
To lead Zero defect drive for continuous improvement for achieving Zero defect in products received from supplier end.
To select applicable supplier for Poka- yoke implementation
To find out & implement applicable Poka- Yoke, Program control & System control at supplier end.
Prepare Dashboard which shows Status of implementation at supplier end.
To summarize existing status of PPAP availability at all sigma Pune units.
Communicating & collecting PPAP from supplier with continuous follow up for non-existent PPAPs.
Prepare dashboard for presentation for PPAP availability status & monthly providing updated status.
