Quality management system:
- Establish and maintain ISO 9001; prepare for IATF 16949 where automotive customers need it.
- Write and control the quality manual, procedures, work instructions, forms and records.
- Run internal audits, management reviews and the CAPA system; track every action to closure.
- Maintain calibration control and measurement system analysis (MSA) for gauges and testers.
Certification and compliance
- Obtain and maintain product approvals: UL recognition (UL 1449), IEC 61051 and IEC 61643-331 compliance, AEC-Q200 where applicable.
- Manage RoHS/REACH declarations, material composition data and customer compliance forms.
- Host certification body, UL follow-up and customer audits; close findings on time.
- Supplier quality (China chip vendors and local suppliers)
- Approve and rate chip suppliers and other vendors; agree chip specifications and acceptance criteria with them.
- Review supplier lot data and certificates; raise supplier corrective actions and track closure.
- Plan periodic supplier audits, remote or on-site.
Process quality and reliability:
- Build process FMEAs and control plans with Production.
- Run SPC and Cp/Cpk studies on critical parameters: varistor voltage spread, leakage, coating thickness, solder joints.
- Run product qualification and periodic reliability tests: 8/20 s surge, 2 ms energy, high-temperature bias, temperature cycling, damp heat, solderability.
- Approve new part numbers, process changes and first-article inspections.
Customer quality:
- Own customer complaints and returns: 8D, root cause, containment and corrective action.
- Prepare PPAP-style submissions, sample approvals, test reports and quality agreements.
- Report customer PPM and quality trends to the Plant Head monthly.
Training and team:
- Train plant staff on QMS, SPC, 8D, ESD awareness and quality procedures.
- Guide, develop and appraise the 12 QA team members.
Area KPI:
- Customer Customer PPM; complaints closed within agreed time
- Certification ISO / UL / IEC milestones met; zero major audit findings
- CAPA Actions closed on time; repeat issues
- Suppliers Incoming chip lot rejection rate; supplier corrective actions closed
- Process Cpk of critical parameters; cost of poor quality
- Area KPI Training Quality training hours per employee
