Job summary

Crown House Technologies is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer to deliver fire suppression designs for large and complex projects. You will work within a project delivery team, with flexibility to be based in offices or on-site, and occasional UK travel for surveys and meetings.

You will lead design work, produce drawings and documentation, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure compliance with LPC, NFPA, and FM standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong working knowledge of BS EN 12845 and LPS 1048 standards.
• LPCB Basic, Intermediate, or FHC qualifications desirable.
• Knowledge of FM and NFPA standards would be advantageous.
• Proven experience in technical design and the production of drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sprinkler system designs for a range of applications, including large and small works, in line with LPC Rules, NFPA, and FM standards.
• Take full design responsibility throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce technical documentation, installation drawings, and coordinated models.
• Complete hydraulic calculations.
• Carry out site surveys where required.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and project specifications.
• Specify appropriate equipment for each project.
• Prepare and submit end-of-project documentation (e.g. O&M manuals, as-fitted drawings, certification).
• Attend and contribute to client review meetings.
• Coordinate with external subcontractors as part of a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Liaise with suppliers and key stakeholders.

Are you an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer with a track record of delivering high-quality fire suppression designs? Do you want to work on large scale, exciting projects? Then Crown House Technologies - Enterprise Solutions could be the perfect fit for you.

We have recently established a dedicated fire sprinkler division to support the in-house delivery of fire suppression systems across a range of high-profile and complex projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing this capability within the business.

As a Sprinkler Design Engineer, you will be responsible for all fire suppression design elements, supporting the delivery of large and complex projects. You will be part of a project delivery team, based either in one of our offices or on-site. Occasional travel across the UK will be required to carry out site surveys, attend meetings, review progress, and mark up drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sprinkler system designs for a range of applications, including large and small works, in line with LPC Rules, NFPA, and FM standards
• Take full design responsibility throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong working knowledge of BS EN 12845 and LPS 1048 standards
• LPCB Basic, Intermediate, or FHC qualifications are desirable
• Knowledge of FM and NFPA standards would be advantageous
• Proven experience in technical design and the production of drawings and documentation
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Canute FHC design software
• Experience with HydraCAD, Autosprink, or similar design tools is advantageous
