Johnson Controls seeks a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to design sprinkler and gas suppression systems per BSEN/NFPA/FM/IS codes. You will manage projects through their lifecycle, review drawings, and prepare layouts and BOMs to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to processes.
Proficiency in CAD tools and strong communication are essential. The role requires 4–8 years in the field with NFPA certifications preferred within 12 months of hire.
The purpose of this role is to design sprinkler and gas suppression systems in accordance with BSEN / NFPA / FM / IS codes and standards. The Fire Suppression Design Team supports Fire Life Safety Sales & Design, including: Fire Protection & Gas Suppression Systems. Primary responsibility will include project take‑offs, specification interpretation, scope of work creation, risk analysis, building code compliance, and value engineering ideas. Follow processes, maintain required quality standards and on‑time deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
