Job summary

Shiloah Therapy and Learning Centre is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist with 1-2 years of experience working with children on the spectrum and various speech disorders. The role involves conducting one-on-one therapy sessions, performing assessments, and providing feedback to families.

You will develop individualized plans, set expectations with parents, and stay updated with latest therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
• Experience with OPD techniques.
• Willing to work on site 5.5 days per week.
• Fluency in English; Kannada/Telugu/Tamil preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions for children.
• Perform assessments for speech-language disorders including autism and learning disabilities.
• Provide feedback to parents/caregivers after sessions.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Establish goals with parents and caregivers.
• Keep up to date with professional knowledge and obtain certifications as needed.
• Provide caregiver consultations as required.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children.
• Maintain and update child data and records during sessions.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers and stakeholders.
• Attend and participate in team meetings.

Job description

We are looking for a qualified Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist with 1-2 years of experience working with children on the spectrum and various speech disorders.

Responsibilities

• Primary work would be conducting one-on-one therapy sessions for kids;
• Perform assessments for speech-language disorders for special children with one or multiple disorder like speech delays, Autism, Learning disabilities etc.;
• Provide feedback to parents and caregivers on a daily basis through discussion post-session;
• Develop and implement effective individualised plans for children;
• Establish understanding, expectations, and goals with parents of children;
• On an ongoing basis, keep abreast with profession knowledge and skill upgradation by reviewing publications, recent therapy skills and undergoing certifications;
• Provide caregiver consultation as needed and meet with caregivers throughout;
• Ensure the safety and well-being of kids;
• Maintain and update individual data and records during sessions;
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with parents, caregivers and relevant stakeholders;
• Attend and participate in team meetings.

Requirements

• A Bachelors or Master's Degree in the area of Speech language Pathology or Audiology or a related field;
• Experience with OPD techniques;
• Able to work on site 5.5 days a week;
• Mandatory: Fluency in English, Desired: Fluency in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil;
• 28+* days of paid leave per annum;
