Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru, India seeks a Payment Open Banking - Test Automation Engineer to drive API testing for regulatory and business APIs. You will design test scenarios, implement scripts with MockaX, and work in sandbox environments with mock data.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISTQB, TMAP and test basics.
• Experience in functional API testing (REST, SOAP).
• Awareness of SEPA, PSD3 banking regulations is beneficial.
• Familiarity with MockaX or similar tools for test automation.
• Ability to work with mock data and sandbox environments.
• Basic scripting in JavaScript or Python is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data formats: XML, JSON, SQL; familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience with load testing (JMeter) and log analysis (Kibana).
• CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Git) are beneficial.
• English reading proficiency for documentation.

Payment Open Banking - Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute functional tests for two types of APIs:
• Regulatory APIs (e.g., SEPA payments, PSD3 requirements)
• Business APIs (e.g., accounting systems, communication with other banks)
• Test new API modifications related to:
• SEPA payments
• PSD3 compliance
• Design and implement test scenarios and scripts using MockaX (KB-specific technology).
• Work in a Sandbox environment with mock data.
• Cover testing for more than 30 APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify defects and propose solutions.
• Document test results and provide reporting.

Requirements

• Knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB, TMAP…)
• Experience in functional API testing (REST, SOAP).
• Knowledge of banking processes and regulations (SEPA, PSD3 is a plus).
• Familiarity with testing technologies (MockaX or similar tools).
• Ability to work with mock data and sandbox environments.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., JavaScript, Python) is an advantage.
• Data formats and scripting: XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Load testing: JMeter
• Monitoring and log analysis: Kibana

Nice to Have

• Experience testing in large banking systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, Git).
• English proficiency for reading documentation.
