Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru seeks an experienced DevOps/SRE professional with 4-7 years of hands-on Linux and automation experience. You will automate IT infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes, build code-as-infrastructure with Terraform, and implement robust monitoring with Grafana/Prometheus.

You will engage with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI), manage build tools (Maven/NPM), and collaborate across engineering teams to deploy Java, Python, NodeJS

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in DevOps/IT operations
• Linux hands-on
• Automating IT infrastructure using Docker and building Code as Infrastructure using Kubernetes (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with application monitoring & logging tools
• Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, etc.
• Must have worked on Ansible
• Experience with Maven/NPM and other build frameworks
• Exposure to ElasticSearch, Kafka, Memcached, DBs
• Experience with web servers like Nginx, Tomcat and JBoss
• Shell, Python scripting & Linux knowledge
• Create custom Dockerfiles and Docker-compose files
• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, AppDynamics
• Deployment of applications: Java, JS, Python, NodeJS
• Strong troubleshooting in databases and networking
• Agile development experience
• SRE experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot databases and networking issues in production
• Develop custom Dockerfiles and Docker-compose configurations
• Operate container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Participate in Agile development and support SRE activities

Responsibilities

• Experience: 4 -7 years

• Assistance to applications in change, migrations, and assistance to build their images and develop their application topology through an automated pipeline
• The implementation of preventive and / or rapid remedial actions
• Resolution of incidents affecting the platform
• Platform upgrades & Improvement proposal
• Collaborate with other stakeholders in the engineering & product management team to identify and resolve issuesStrong written and verbal communication skills
• Worked in Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in Production environments and SRE activities is a big plus
