Nationwide Technology seeks a hands-on Guidewire Software Engineer to build and support InsuranceNow capabilities, integrating with business, QA, DevOps, and partner teams. We are looking for a hands-on individual contributor to help build Guidewire InsuranceNow capability within NIO as part of the broader Guidewire hiring plan. This role will support development, configuration, integrations, defect resolution, and platform support while partnering closely with business, QA, DevOps, and external partner teams.

As a Guidewire Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high-quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by configuring, developing, integrating, and supporting Guidewire applications and related services. In this capacity, you'll help deliver capabilities across core insurance functions such as policy administration, underwriting, rating, billing, claims, and related digital experiences. You'll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document, and maintain Guidewire components including product model configuration, business rules, workflows, integrations, and APIs that support policy lifecycle transactions, data exchange, and business operations.
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
Six or more years of technology experience. Three or more years of experience working with Guidewire applications, configurations, or integrations is preferred.
Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
