Job summary

Nordex Group in Chennai is seeking a power electronics test engineer to define test procedures for converters and automate testing using EXAM. The role covers test campaigns, result analysis for main converters, pitch and yaw systems, and MATLAB/Simulink/modeling with HiL integration.

Candidate should have B.Tech in ECE, an M.Tech in Power Electronics/Control Systems, 3–4 years of experience, and familiarity with JIRA/Confluence, Teamcenter, and scripting languages. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics with M. Tech in Power Electronics/Control Systems.
• 3–4 years relevant experience.
• Dspace, EXAM or similar automation testing and validation tool is an added advantage.
• Python/Java is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understand the requirements of power electronic converters and specify the test procedure.
• Develop, testing and maintenance of automated tests in EXAM test automation software.
• Perform test campaigns and analysis of the test results for Main Power Converter, Pitch and Yaw.
• Hand-on experience in implementing mathematical model in MATLAB Simulink, FPGA based MATLAB model (with any real-time HiL) and able to develop State flow and state machine model for the system.
• Preparation of quality reports, SOP's and maintenance of documents in Teamcenter.
• To deal with different Test management tools (JIRA, Confluence, and various plug-ins) that are interfaced with the HiL test bench to ensure quality of the tests and to ease the process efficiently.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using MATLAB Script/Python/JavaScript/Groovy/C++ for process efficiency and testing workflow.
• Utilize and integrate JIRA, X-ray, and Confluence tools, leveraging API knowledge for automation and data exchange.
