Job summary

GEA Systems North America seeks an automation specialist to advance HR digital tooling. You will identify automation opportunities, design RPA workflows, and collaborate with HR, IT, and security teams to implement scalable solutions.

Lead the development and optimization of automations using Workday Iluminate, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, and ServiceNow Flow Designer, ensuring compliance and governance across global HR platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automation and RPA development experience.
• Experience with Workday Iluminate, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, or ServiceNow Flow Designer.
• Strong HR processes knowledge and HR platforms familiarity (Workday/ServiceNow HRSD).
• API and enterprise integration pattern understanding.
• Excellent communication and self-driven with ownership to deliver quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Identify automation opportunities across HR processes and translate them into robust workflow and RPA solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain automation workflows using Workday Iluminate, Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate, and ServiceNow Flow Designer.
• Optimize automations and integrations between Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, and Microsoft tools to reduce manual steps and drive accuracy.
• Manage multiple automation requests and projects across the full lifecycle—from concept to deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Engage with HR stakeholders to understand process needs and provide guidance on automation best practices.
• Ensure automation solutions meet security, stability, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with internal/external developers, IT teams, and People AI Solutions Architects for cross-platform workflows.
• Document workflow logic, interfaces, test cases, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to the automation roadmap and prioritize resources.
• Promote standardized automation approaches across People Services & AI.

• Document workflow logic, interfaces, test cases, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to the automation roadmap, help define priorities, and ensure proper resource alignment.
• Promote harmonization and standardization of automation approaches across People Services & AI.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, HR Technology, Computer Science, or similar.
• Several years of hands‑on experience in automation and RPA development, ideally with Workday Iluminate, Automation Anywhere , Microsoft Power Automate , and/or ServiceNow Flow Designer
• Strong understanding of HR processes and experience working with HR platforms such as Workday or ServiceNow HRSD.
• Proven experience implementing or optimizing cross-functional HR automations.
• Good understanding of APIs, connectors, authentication methods, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to simplify complex processes.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured automation concepts and designs.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical automation topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self‑driven, with a sense of urgency and ownership to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Fluency in English required; German is an advantage.
