Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced NVH Systems Specialist to perform NVH simulations for eDrives transfer cases and DHT products. The role requires hands-on CAE/FEA model building and debugging across eDrives and hybrid transmission systems.

You will apply modal and transfer path analyses, FRF methods, and FFT data processing to support powertrain development. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in mechanical, structural, or automotive engineering from a reputed university.
  • 5–7 years of NVH simulations / test data analysis in automotive powertrain.
  • Excellent English communication; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and debug CAE/FEA models for eDrives, transfer cases, drive modules and hybrids using tetra/hex mesh and rigid connections.
  • Perform core CAE NVH simulations: eigenfrequency analysis, structure-borne and air-borne noise, transfer path analysis.
  • Contribute to model validation and results interpretation with cross-functional teams.

Job responsibilities

Job title: Specialist - NVH Systems

Job Introduction: As an experienced NVH/CAE Analyst, you will be involved in performing NVH Simulations for eDrives Transfer cases and DHT products.

Major responsibilities
  • Expertise on CAE/FEA model building and debugging of E-drives, Transfer cases, Drive modules and hybrid transmission systems using Tetra, hexahedral and 1D meshing Contacts and rigid connections
  • Profound knowledge in performing core CAE NVH simulations - Eigen mode frequency analysis (Modal) Structure borne noise (FRF) Air borne noise (FRF) Transfer path analysis Pre-tension of gear set and bolt connections Topology optimization and sensitivity study
Knowledge and Education

Bachelor’s/master’s in mechanical/Structural/Automotive engineering or equivalent from reputed university/institution

Work Experience

5 to 7 years of experience in NVH Simulations / Test data Analysis in Automotive Powertrain or relevant job experience.

Knowledge of test data analysis. Knowledge in preprocessing and results interpretations. Experience in the eDrives, DCT/DHT and Transfer cases in automotive sector.

Excellent English communication (German is added advantage)

  • Hands-on experience in CAE-Testing correlation Perform parametric study FFT and data processing Understanding the Gear micro geometry Deep knowledge of NVH overall scope in powertrains
