Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Specialist - Insurance - Life to manage complex policy administration and underwriting support within a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

You will handle endorsements, renewals and policy amendments, perform quality checks, and assist underwriting teams while driving productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong actuarial or finance background is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in actuarial sciences, risk, economics or finance is common for this role.
• Advanced degree or professional actuarial certifications preferred.
• Experience with policy administration and insurance operations is beneficial.

• Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy amendments.

Job Description Responsibilities:

• This role is responsible for handling complex policy administration transactions, supporting underwriting operations, resolving exceptions, managing queues, ensuring quality and SLA adherence, and acting as the first point of contact for functional escalations.
• Process complex endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy amendments.
• Perform quality checks and peer reviews of policy transactions.
• Handle exception cases and provide resolution support.
• Support underwriting teams with complex policy servicing requests.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for policy processing issues.
• Monitor queues, backlog, and turnaround times.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
• Act as an SME for Policy Administration System (Duck Creek, Guidewire, Majesco, etc.).
• Support UAT and production validation for system enhancements.
• Train and coach junior associates.
• Drive productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
