Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Specialist, Information Security based in India.

This role combines information security, identity and access management, compliance, risk management, and Agile delivery leadership in a remote environment. You will help assess security risks, strengthen the protection of information and IT assets, and support the implementation of security standards and technologies. Alongside the cybersecurity scope, you will serve as a Scrum Master and Agile coach, helping teams adopt effective ways of working and improve delivery performance. Strong Jira expertise will be central to creating visibility, managing workflows, and supporting Agile execution. You will also contribute to project planning and stakeholder coordination, with opportunities to grow toward broader project ownership. The position offers a cross-functional environment where technical security expertise, facilitation, coaching, and project coordination come together.

Accountabilities:

You will support information security and compliance activities while providing Agile leadership and coaching to technology teams. The role involves working with technical specialists, business stakeholders, leaders, and distributed teams to strengthen security practices, improve delivery, and coordinate projects effectively.

  • Assess information security risks in accordance with internal policies and external security best practices.
  • Support the protection of information and IT assets through security testing, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement cybersecurity technologies and provide day‑to‑day information security support under the guidance of global security leadership.
  • Support Identity & Access Management activities and broader cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Manage third‑party providers where applicable, ensuring internal and external parties adhere to required security standards.
  • Deliver information security awareness and training to relevant teams.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Promote Scrum values, Agile principles, self‑organization, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized, healthy, and well‑refined product backlog.
  • Track and communicate Agile metrics such as velocity and sprint burndown.
  • Coach teams on Scrum and Agile practices and mentor team members on effective Jira usage.
  • Support Jira board configuration, workflows, backlog management, dashboards, reporting, JQL, and automation.
  • Help identify and remove impediments that affect team delivery and performance.
  • Support project scope definition, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, timelines, and resource planning.
  • Identify, assess, track, and elevate project risks and issues while contributing to risk registers.
  • Prepare project status updates and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Participate in change management and stakeholder communication activities.
  • Develop toward greater ownership of technology projects with mentorship and support.
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management combined with demonstrated experience in Scrum Master or Agile coaching responsibilities. You should be comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders, facilitating meetings, solving problems, and operating across distributed teams. A genuine interest in project management, combined with strong Jira and Agile capabilities, will be valuable for the role's growth path.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on Identity & Access Management.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a comparable Agile leadership role.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Atlassian Jira experience, including boards, workflows, dashboards, reporting, JQL, and automation rules.
  • Practical knowledge of information security, compliance, risk management, security solutions, governance, policies, and standards.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams in Scrum and Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills when working with technical specialists, leaders, peers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with distributed or remote Agile teams is an advantage.
  • Understanding of project planning concepts, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables.
  • General understanding of the software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to or genuine interest in project management; formal PM experience is an advantage.
  • Formal experience managing medium‑to‑large technology projects is a plus.
  • Background in software engineering or technical product development is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with OKRs or similar goal‑setting frameworks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and practices is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps delivery practices is beneficial.
  • Certified ScrumMaster certification is required.
  • Six Sigma certification is listed as an additional certification.
  • PMP certification is highly valued for the project management growth track.
  • Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator certification is advantageous.
