Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Data Entry and Master Data Maintenance specialist to support creation, updates, and governance of master data across ERP and CRM systems in India. The role emphasizes accuracy, data integrity, and collaboration with finance, sales, procurement, and IT.

You will monitor data quality, perform cleansing, document SOPs, assist audits, and help implement process improvements and automation. English proficiency required; night shift in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance
• Master's degree in Finance or related field
• Certified data management and analytics certifications listed in qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain master data across ERP/CRM systems with accuracy
• Monitor data quality, cleanse duplicates, and support audits
• Identify inefficiencies in MDM processes and propose improvements
• Collaborate with finance, sales, procurement, and IT to align data
• Generate reports and document SOPs; assist end-user training
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
• Learn and adopt new MDM tools and methodologies

Job Description Data Entry and Maintenance

1. Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining master data records across various systems (ERP, CRM, etc.). Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data. Validate and verify data before it is entered into the system.
2. 2. Data Quality Assurance Monitor data quality and perform regular data cleansing activities. Identify data inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors, and take corrective action or elevate as needed. Support audits of master data for compliance with organizational standards.
3. 3. Process Improvement Learn and understand existing master data management processes and workflows. Assist in identifying inefficiencies or gaps and propose improvements to enhance data management processes. Participate in the implementation of process automation tools where applicable.
4. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with various departments (finance, sales, procurement, IT) to gather data requirements and ensure data alignment. Support communication between data owners and data users to facilitate smooth data governance.
5. 5. Reporting and Documentation Generate and analyze reports related to master data for management review. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines related to master data handling. Assist in preparing training materials for end-users on data management best practices.
6. 6. Compliance and Governance Ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards. Support initiatives related to data security and confidentiality. Help enforce regulatory compliance related to master data (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA if applicable).
7. 7. Learning and Development Undergo training sessions on master data management tools and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data management. Work under the guidance of senior MDM specialists to build domain expertise.
