Job summary

Flowserve, a global flow control leader in manufacturing, seeks an experienced Operations Excellence professional in India to lead CI programs, deploy OPEX, and coach cross-functional teams. You will drive process improvements, teach lean methods, and help build a people-first culture while delivering tangible plant performance gains.

You will collaborate with Plant Manager and corporate teams, implement Kaizen events, and develop dashboards to track outcomes using Power BI and ERP tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial experience with 5+ years in Operation Excellence / CI.
• Manufacturing knowledge in valves production and assembly/testing.
• Knowledge of GD&T readings.
• Lean tools including VSM, OFP, OEE, Lean layouts.
• Experience with Power BI dashboards.
• Experience with SAP/ERP.
• Six Sigma or LEAN certification.
• Strong communication across all levels.

• Develops an OPEX deployment and roll-out plan to support Plant and Platform targets.
• Leads current state analysis and future state design of processes.
• Prioritizes OPEX activities aligned to Plant/Platform objectives.

Role Summary:

This role involves facilitating continuous improvement implementation at the business level. Shall lead/facilitate cross-functional teams in the application of Continuous improvement tools to achieve process improvements. Accountable for teaching/coaching Lean enterprise methods and integrating with the business to form and execute business improvement plans that deliver tangible benefits to business performance. This role will contribute to build a people-first culture that delivers significant business results.

Responsibilities:

• Develops an OPEX deployment and roll-out plan to support the Plant and Platform business targets.
• Leads the current state analysis and future state design of processes and identifies improvement opportunities and projects.
• Supports the plant teams to prioritize, scope the OPEX activities and align these to Plant / Platform objectives.
• Supports the plants with the OPEX implementation by conducting improvement events / projects (Line functions and working groups are responsible for implementation results)
• Conducts training on needed methods and tools to support competency building for the workgroups.
• Conducts coaching and performs assessments to ensure methodologies are applied correctly and deliver results.
• Supports the Plant Manager in the governance, tracking of implementation actions, results, and ensures timely escalation.
• Performs plant self-assessments to establish maturity levels; support the plant to implement the action fields.
• Identifies, documents, and shares best practices with the corporate teams

Accountability & Authority

• Achieving savings as targeted by platform.
• Identify, define and Mentor CI Projects in plant.
• Monitor, track, and report project status
• Guide teams for executing CI Projects with approach, tools, support and elevate when required.
• Conduct Op-ex, operational excellence assessment and work for gaps to improve plant performance and achieve CI Objectives
• Conduct training and organize kaizen events for improvements

Requirements:

• Typically,10+ Years of industrial experience5+ years of experience in Operation Excellence / CI.
• Knowledge on Product – Valves manufacturing.
• Manufacturing Process knowledge & Flow / Layout / Throughput time
• Knowledge on Assembly & Testing
• Reading of Drawings and tolerance requirements (GD&T)
• Knowledge on SAP / ERP
• Lean tools & applications -
• Practitioner of Lean tools including VSM (Value Stream Mapping), OFP Operations Flow Process, Material-flow, Structured problem-solving methodology, OEE, Product-process / machinery matrix, Activity analysis, Future state design, Lean Layouts, FIFO, Kitting process, Shop Floor Management & Office floor management
• 7 Quality Tool Practitioner (fishbone, 5 Why’s / Ishikawa, Histograms, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis, Scatter Diagrams and Stratification)
• 6S Improvements
• Ability to work with/across all functional areas and all levels of the business.
• Experience in Power BI dashboard development
• Application development / deployment experience with PowerApps and power platform business
• Excellent oral, written and facilitation communication skills.
• Experienced inn Industry or Business experience where LEAN or Operational Excellence is core to the business.
• Knowledge on Data analysis & Visualization
• Demonstrated Change Management Experience
• Strong Facilitation Experience: Instructional Design is a plus.
• QMS & EMS knowledge
• Six Sigma or LEAN Certified
