Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Engineer to complete product engineering, initiative design, and order engineering tasks for Engineer to Order valves, while providing inquiry/quote support.

You will design and model industrial valves and actuators, validate designs, and collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and service engineering to meet timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in core valve design and development (BE/BTech/ME/MTech path)
• 12+ years in core valve design and development (Diploma path)
• Strong CAD/CAE proficiency (SolidWorks/Ansys/Inventor)
• Experience with BOM preparation in Oracle/SAP or ERP
• Knowledge of ASME/API/ISO standards
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and standards

Responsibilities

• Provide Product Engineering and Order Engineering support for R&D and DtV projects.
• Design, model and detail industrial valves and pneumatic actuators.
• Lead design validation and testing per requirements.
• Provide quotes and technical support for ETO (Engineer to Order).
• Support Project Management, Manufacturing, Operations and Service Engineering teams.
• Contribute to CIP and KPI/KQI initiatives.
• Train and develop associate engineers.

Job Summary

Senior Engineer is responsible for completing Product Engineering, Product Initiative design, development, order engineering tasks and provide inquiry/quote support for Engineer to Order (ETO) valves.

Job Description

• Provide Product Engineering and Order Engineering Support to complete R&D, & DtV Projects on time & on budget meeting product & market requirements.
• Designing, modeling & detailing of industrial control valves / pneumatic actuators.
• Responsible for Design Validation and Testing based on product / order requirements.
• Provide Quote & technical support for Com Ops Team. (ETO – Engineer to Order Special design).
• Technical support to Project Management,, Manufacturing, Operations and Service Engineering team.
• Support and contribute to engineering CIP and Sustaining KPIs and KQIs.
• Training and Developing Associate engineers.

Job Requirements

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or Equivalent with minimum experience of 8years in core valve design and development role.
• Or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or Equivalent with minimum experience of 12years in core valve design and development role.
• Good Communication skills sets.
• Knowledge and hands on experience in Industrial Valve design. (Rotary or Linear Valves)
• Knowledge in CAD/CAE Packages Solidworks, Ansys, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge in ASME, API, ISO Standards.
• Hands on experience in BOM Preparation with Oracle / SAP or any other ERP is an added advantage.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, procedures, international codes and standards or governmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers.
• Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to initiate Root Cause Analysis and corrective action plans.
