Ideal candidates have 17-20 years total Civil/Structural experience with at least 10 years in tall buildings and professional certifications like ISructE or CEng preferred.

Jacobs is looking for a Highly Skilled Subject Matter Expert Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate shall have extensive experience in the structural design of high-rise buildings (200 m or more) and steel buildings and will be responsible for leading the building projects from Conceptualization to Construction stage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Tall high rise building structure projects design, with a team of Structural Engineers and Designers in the development of Analysis models, calculations, specifications, construction drawings etc.
• Fully understand the structural scope, recognize how that scope is both generated and impacted by other disciplines, and identify scope changes in a proactive manner.
• Develop and manage schedule, budget, and staffing forecasts for the structural scope.
• Collaborate with architects, MEP, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Attend project meetings and take an active role to help team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the deliverables, including calculations and all construction documents.
• Participate in and champion internal, cross-discipline, and external project quality.
• Develop effective and robust Structural concepts to effectively complement Architectural intent.
• Preparation and checking of the detailed structural calculations and detailed checking of the drawings in line with the project quality procedures.
• Mentor and provide technical support to other engineers and projects as required.
• Understand Project Procedure, Execution Plans, Quality Plans and assist Project Manager in the proper execution of the project activities.
• Communicate/coordinate within the team and with the Client/lead office to ensure project needs are being addressed in a timely manner.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction if required.
• Capable of leading / handling large projects independently.
• Capable of interacting with all stakeholders including client and vendors.
• Lead the team to deliver against agreed goals, strategies and KPI’s.
• Contribute to the Operations Centre Leadership Team; work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team to deliver strategic and growth objectives.
• Has successfully demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.

What You'll Need

Post Graduate Civil / Structural Engineering 17-20 years’ total experience with minimum 10 years of focused high-rise buildings experience.

Professional Engineer / Certifications like ISructE, CEng preferred.

Experience

• Extensive experience in Structural Design and Analysis of High-Rise Buildings using RC / Steel materials.
• Expertise on creating robust concepts in coordination with architecture and client requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and project management skills.
• Shall be well informed with the latest construction and design methodologies.
• Experience on High-rise Domestic Indian projects and Middle east high rise experience is added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, Standards and regulations. (Indian and International)
• Experience of Performance based design/Nonlinear seismic design for tall buildings is preferred, however not essential.
