Job Title: Special Educator

Location: Aga Khan School, Mundra, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and support students with diverse learning needs, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special educational needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and school leadership.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to help students achieve their learning goals.
• Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessments to meet students' needs.
• Guide teachers on inclusive classroom practices and appropriate accommodations.
• Work closely with parents to provide regular updates and strategies to support learning at home.
• Coordinate with counsellors, therapists, and external professionals whenever required.
• Promote an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment.
• Stay updated with inclusive education practices, CBSE guidelines, and relevant educational policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a relevant field.
• B.Ed. (Special Education) or Diploma in Special Education (recognized by the appropriate regulatory authority).
• Valid registration with the relevant professional body, where applicable.
• Minimum 25 years of experience as a Special Educator, preferably in a CBSE school.
• Sound knowledge of inclusive education, learning disabilities, and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
