Job summary

Studio ABD is seeking a proactive Sourcing & Vendor Development Executive in Bengaluru to build a network of vendors and manage supplier relationships across India. You will source materials, negotiate terms, and coordinate samples and pilot runs with design and production teams.

You will travel across India to audit facilities, evaluate capabilities and support cost optimization while preserving design intent. Strong Excel/ERP skills and AI-driven supplier research are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new vendors, manufacturers, artisans and material suppliers across categories such as metal, wood, stone, glass, ceramics, textiles, packaging and printing.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic vendors.
• Source innovative materials, finishes, manufacturing processes and technologies aligned with premium product development.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs and commercial terms.
• Develop multiple sourcing options to reduce risk and improve competitiveness.
• Coordinate sampling, prototyping and pilot production with vendors.
• Evaluate vendors on quality, delivery, capability, compliance and cost.
• Work closely with design, production and project teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth execution.
• Maintain vendor database, costing history and material libraries.
• Visit vendor facilities regularly for audits, quality checks and relationship building.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization without compromising design intent.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Sourcing & Vendor Development Executive who can identify, develop and manage a strong network of manufacturing partners, artisans and suppliers across India. The role is critical in transforming design concepts into high-quality products by ensuring the right vendor ecosystem, competitive pricing, consistent quality and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities
