Job summary

Birla Pivot in Gujarat, India, is seeking a strategic Sourcing Specialist to build and manage a wide vendor network across multiple categories and drive cost-effective procurement. You will conduct market analysis, negotiate pricing, and ensure SLA compliance with vendors and retailers.

The role involves leading RFQs, crafting supplier documents, and implementing pricing strategies while continuously seeking cost savings and supply chain improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive network of qualified vendors across all categories to ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and negotiate favourable pricing with suppliers.
• Manage relationships with vendors and retailers, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to service level agreements.
• Lead the RFQ process, craft documents, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms for multiple products.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies for various product categories.
• Identify cost drivers across the supply chain and implement procurement optimization strategies.
• Identify potential sales opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to convert them into revenue.

Key Accountabilities & Support Actions

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive network of qualified vendors across all categories to ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and negotiate favourable pricing with suppliers.
• Manage relationships with vendors and retailers, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to service level agreements.

Contract Management & Negotiations

• Lead the entire RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, crafting compelling documents and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible terms for multiple products.
• Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for various product categories.
• Manage the negotiation process to secure favourable pricing, payment terms, and lead times.

Vendor Management & Compliance

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering trust and collaboration for long-term success.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to all vendors while maintaining meticulous documentation and adhering to all compliance regulations.

Cost Optimization & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth analysis to understand cost drivers across the supply chain, including factors such as capacity utilization and logistics.
• Implement strategies to optimize procurement costs while ensuring high-quality products and reliable delivery.

Sales & Opportunity Identification

• Act as a frontline sales resource, proactively identifying potential sales opportunities and collaborating with the sales team to convert them into revenue.
