Job summary

Games2win is seeking a Sound and Music Designer for mobile games to craft lean, high‑quality audio that keeps download sizes small and memory usage low.

You will work with the Product Manager and Creative team to provide music, soundtracks and SFX, and proactively suggest ideas. Collaborate with editors and programmers to sync audio with game tech and stay updated on Android/iOS audio standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Music and Audio design experience.
• Mobile music experience, ideally with Unity.
• Self-starter and capable of managing tasks and deliverables.
• Strong portfolio of sound and music design work.

Responsibilities

• Produce lean, mobile-optimized music and SFX for games written in OG G format.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Creative team to supply music, soundtracks and SFX and contribute ideas.
• Work with music editors and game programmers to sync audio with game tech.
• Stay updated on mobile-friendly audio standards for Android and iOS.
• Organize and manage audio assets, ensuring optimized compression and reuse across projects.
• Conduct audio testing on mobile devices and resolve audio bugs.

What do you need to do? (Role and Responsibilities)

• Work with severe restrictions on the size of music files. Mobile games must be as lean (lower the MB the better) as possible to help rapid downloads, and not consume too much memory when played. (We use music and SFX in .OGG file format in our games to maintain minimum file size.)
• Work closely with the Product Manager/ Creative team and supply them with a constant stream of music, soundtracks, and SFX for their requirements and also proactively suggest your ideas.
• Work with your team of music editors and game programmers to sync your music with the game tech perfectly.
• Keep informed about the latest advances in mobile friendly music and underlying technology, and standards to use for Android and iOS.
• Have an eye for perfection and a burning desire to improve with every release.
• Organize and manage all audio files and assets, ensuring they are optimized for the platform (i.e., compressed for mobile use without sacrificing quality).
• Maintain an audio library for reusable assets across different games or projects.
• Conduct audio testing on various mobile devices and identify and resolve audio bugs and issues.

• You MUST have mobile music experience, ideally working with games developed in Unity
• Should be a self-starter and capable of managing teams tasks and deliverables.
• Natural curiosity and creativity with the ability to explore new ideas and learn from external sources.
• An exceptional portfolio featuring examples of your sound and music design capabilities.
