Ingram Micro is seeking a seasoned Pre‑Sales Solutions Engineer to design and present enterprise networking and wireless solutions. The candidate will work with sales, partners, and customers to capture requirements and translate them into high‑level designs and BoQs.
Responsibilities include delivering PoCs and architecture walkthroughs, supporting RFP responses, and ensuring readiness with services teams. Strong Aruba/Juniper experience is preferred.
6–8 years of experience as a Pre‑Sales Solutions Engineer delivering enterprise networking and wireless solutions. Understanding in L2/L3 switching and routing on Aruba CX and Juniper EX/QFX platforms. Strong skills in VLAN design, segmentation, inter‑VLAN routing, and traffic optimization. Proven high‑availability designs using MLAG, VSF, Virtual Chassis, LACP, and Spanning Tree. Experience in campus and branch network architecture, scaling, and modernization. Hands‑on with Aruba and Ruckus wireless (Aruba Central, ClearPass, SmartZone, Cloud Wi‑Fi). Strong understanding of RF design, site surveys, capacity planning, and Wi‑Fi security (802.1X, captive portals). Solid background in WAN/SD‑WAN, Juniper SRX routing, MPLS to internet migration, and VPNs. Knowledge of network security integration, NAC with ClearPass, and secure BYOD access. Proven ability to deliver HLDs, LLDs, BoQs, PoCs, and support winning technical proposals.
Engage with sales, channel partners, and enterprise customers to gather business and technical requirements. Design end‑to‑end enterprise network solutions (Campus LAN, WLAN, Branch/WAN) and deliver HLDs, LLDs, and BoQs aligned to OEM best practices.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, delivering solution presentations, demos, and architecture walkthroughs. Support wired and wireless PoCs and translate technical designs into clear business value propositions.
Lead technical responses for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, including compliance matrices, solution narratives, and scope documents. Support deal qualification, pricing discussions, OEM registrations, and solution validation with distributors and OEM teams.
Coordinate with professional services and deployment teams to ensure smooth handover and implementation readiness. Maintain detailed design documentation and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and delivery teams.
Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ICMP) with an enterprise design and troubleshooting mindset. Expertise in wireless security, authentication, access policies, and infrastructure integration (AD, DNS, DHCP, NTP).
OEM and vendor‑neutral certifications such as Aruba and Juniper (as applicable). Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/B.Tech) or equivalent qualification.
