Job summary

HPE Aruba Networking seeks an experienced Consulting Systems Engineer in Bengaluru to lead design of enterprise networking solutions across multi-domain environments. You will engage with customers, act as a trusted advisor, and translate business needs into concrete technical designs.

You will collaborate with sales teams to pursue large deals, deliver technical workshops, and mentor junior colleagues while maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in Networking, Presales or Solution Consulting roles.
• Strong expertise in at least one domain: AIOps, Campus Networking, SASE, Data Center Networking, Routing & Switching.
• Proven experience designing end-to-end enterprise network architectures.
• Strong customer-facing experience with executive-level communication skills.
• Preferred: Aruba, Cisco, SASE, Cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and leadership in designing networking solutions aligned to customer business needs.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor in deal pursuits, offering deepest product and technology expertise.
• Design end-to-end network architectures across domains (AIOps, Campus, SASE, Data Center, Routing).
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and customer workshops throughout the sales cycle.
• Partner with Account Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate customer problems into solutions.
• Influence long-term customer network transformation aligned with business outcomes.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, solution positioning, differentiation, and POC engagements.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive thought leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.

Job Family Definition

Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet a customer’s business needs. Creates and maintains effective customer relationships to secure customer satisfaction. Provides the deepest level of product‑ and technology‑specific expertise available to customers from anyone in the sales organization in deal pursuit situations. The Consulting Systems Engineer is also a subject‑matter expert in their area of specialization (i.e., Mobility, Security, Branch, etc.), responsible for consulting customers on end‑to‑end technical designs to meet their business need.

These jobs focus on selling to customers, typically through work that occurs outside HPE offices.

Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject‑matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.

• Influence long‑term customer network transformation aligned with business outcomes.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, solution positioning, competitive differentiation, and proof‑of‑concept engagements.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive technology thought leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives where required.

What You Need To Bring

• 4‑5 years of experience in Networking, Presales, or Solution Consulting roles.
• Strong expertise in at least one or more networking domains:
  • AIOps
  • Campus Networking (Wired/Wireless)
  • SASE
  • Data Center Networking
  • Routing & Switching
• Proven experience designing end‑to‑end enterprise network architectures.
• Strong customer‑facing experience with executive‑level communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Experience supporting large enterprise deal pursuits and working alongside sales teams.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and exercise sound technical judgment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to handle complex business scenarios.
• Preferred: Relevant industry certifications (Aruba, Cisco, SASE, Cloud, etc.).
