Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Pune invites a skilled Solution Architect to lead the Teamcenter transformation, focusing on BOM/Structures and material management. You will replace SAP with Teamcenter, design integration with current IT landscape, and optimize architectures to support manufacturing processes across Mobility IT.

The role requires strong Teamcenter expertise, product structure knowledge, English fluency, and experience in agile teams.

Qualifications

• Degree (Master's/Diploma) in computer science or a similar field.
• Several years of deep experience in Teamcenter design & development, plus configuration/customizing.
• Good knowledge of product development processes in manufacturing.
• SAP PLM knowledge is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of Teamcenter BOM and BIM (Bill of Materials and Bill of Processes).
• Knowledge and working experience in product structure is a must.
• Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is desirable.
• Time management when creating BOP for shopfloor is desirable.
• Experience in working in agile project teams is ideal.
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented work style; good communication and partnering skills.
• Very good English skills; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as Solution Architect in the Siemens Teamcenter transformation project for topics like Coordinated Material Management and Substance Compliance.
• Lead the complete replacement of SAP with Teamcenter in this area.
• Analyze business requirements and existing IT landscape and translate into Teamcenter design for integration.
• Analyze, design and optimize the Teamcenter solution and architectures for user-friendliness and efficiency.
• Be responsible for Manufacturing Integration in Mobility IT beyond the project period.
• Work in an agile, international SAFe team with the product owner and external suppliers.

We are looking for a Solution Architect - Teamcenter (BOM/Structures)

Digitization poses major challenges for many companies and will change processes immensely in the coming years. This is also the case at Siemens Mobility GmbH – as an IT Solution Architect (f/m/d), you will actively help shape and accompany a Siemens Teamcenter transformation project. The project works according to the SAFe methodology and strives to replace the current SAP PLM system with a modern Teamcenter system (based on Teamcenter 14.3 and Active Workspace 6.3) for approximately 15 000 users.

You’ll make a difference by:

• You are a Solution Architect in the Siemens Teamcenter transformation project for one or more topics of for following list
  • “Coordinated Material Management” (IMM)) and "Substance Compliance"
  • Collaboration and data exchange with external partners (module “Supplier Connect”)
  • Product structures (module “Multi Structure Foundation” and related Engineering topics)
• Your responsibility is the complete and consistent replacement of the existing SAP solution with the new Teamcenter solution in this area of expertise.
• You will analyze the business requirements, but also the existing IT landscape (SAP and other systems) and translate this into a solution design for Teamcenter to ensure efficient integration.
• You will analyze, design and optimize the sophisticated Teamcenter solution and suitable architectures in detail to make Teamcenter user-friendly and optimized for the Siemens Mobility Business
• You will be responsible for Manufacturing Integration in Mobility IT and for the topic beyond the project period.
• As a member of an agile, international team (SAFe methodology), you will work closely with the product owner, the supplier's implementation authorities and other authorities in the team as well as across teams.

You’ll win us over by:

• You have a degree (Master's/Diploma) in computer science or a similar field of study.
• In addition, you have several years of in-depth experience in the field of Teamcenter design & development, as well as configuration/customizing, with a distributed system environment and integration of major software tools – ideally with a focus on product structures
• A good knowledge of the product development processes in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
• SAP PLM knowledge is desirable
• In depth knowledge of Teamcenter Bill of Materials and Bill of Processes is must
• Knowledge and working experience in product structure is must
• Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is desirable
• Time Management while creating BOP for shopfloor is desirable
• Ideally, you also have experience in working in agile project teams
• You have a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working, communication and partnership skills.
• Very good English skills are required due to the global orientation of the role, with German language skills being an additional advantage.
