Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Pune, India, is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design of robust technology solutions that deliver business value while aligning with enterprise architecture and long-term operability. You will provide high-level technical assurance, partnering with Product teams to deliver against functional requirements prioritized by the Business.

You will oversee other architects, ensure alignment with architectural principles, collaborate on large integrated solutions,

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in designing comprehensive and robust technology solutions.
• Deep understanding of the technology landscape for the Finance Product Stream (e.g., PowerPlatform, Azure, SAP Hybris, SAP FICO, SAP SD, payment and invoicing applications, costing).
• Demonstrable experience in providing technical assurance for delivered solutions, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for translating complex requirements into architectural blueprints.
• Forward-thinking: ability to anticipate mid- to long-term implications of architectural decisions.
• Able to operate with high autonomy, with line management responsibilities for other Solution Architects.

Responsibilities

• Oversees other Solution Architects to define robust technology solutions for multiple teams.
• Ensures solutions align with Enterprise Architecture principles and architectural runway.
• Partners with Architects to design large, integrated solutions.
• Provides high-level technical assurance and ensures compliance with guardrails and standards.
• Supports guardrails, standards, and solution patterns definitions.
• Reviews complex/high-risk solutions with the Enterprise Architecture Change Board.
• Assists in evaluating and selecting software components to meet design needs.
• Collaborates with Functional Consultants and Developers to troubleshoot issues.
• Builds and maintains a repository of solution architecture artefacts and reusable components.
• Acts as a subject matter expert and advocates for component reusability.
• Documents and models existing solutions, identifying technical debt for resolution.
• Provides coaching to new or junior Solution Architects.

Your Role:

TheSolution Architect - Senior Managerisaccountable foroverseeingthedesignofrobust technology solutions thatrealise tangible Business value, whilst ensuringalignmentwith Enterprise Architecture principles and long-term solution operability. Theyprovide high-level technical assurance for delivered solutions, partnering with Product teams to deliveragainst functional requirements prioritised by the Business.

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversees other Solution Architects to definecomprehensive and robust technology solutionsfor multiple medium- and high-complexity teams that fulfil Business needs.
• Ensures technology solutions are aligned with Enterprise Architecture principles and the wider architectural runway.
• Partners with other Solution Architects, Platform Architects, and Enterprise Architects (as required) to design large, integrated solutions.
• Provides high-level technical assurance for delivered technology solutions, ensuring their compliance with agreed technical guardrails and standards.
• Supports the Enterprise Architecture function in defining guardrails, standards, and solution patterns.
• Plays a critical role reviewing and advising on complex and/or high-risk solutions with the Enterprise Architecture Change Board; requesting exemption to agreed standards and guardrails as needed.
• Supports the evaluation and selection of software components to meet architectural design needs.
• Collaborates with Functional Consultants and Developers to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Builds andmaintainsa repository of all solution architecture artefactsand reusable components.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in solution design and a technical expert within the relevant functional / technology domain.
• Advocates for solution / component reusability (where possible) toexpeditedelivery progress.
• Documents and models existing solutions / systems architecture,identifyingareas of technical debt for resolution byProduct teams or the Enterprise Architecture function.
• Provides coaching to new or junior Solution Architects.

• Demonstrableexperienceinprovidingtechnicalassurancefordeliveredsolutions,ensuringcompliancewithcommonsecurityandarchitecturalguidelines.
• Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskillsfortranslatingcomplexrequirementsintocleararchitecturalblueprintsandtroubleshootingtechnicalissues.
• Forward-thinking:anabilitytoanticipatemedium to long-termimplicationsofarchitecturaldecisions.
• Abletooperatewithhighautonomy,withline managementresponsibilitiesforotherSolutionArchitectsintheirProduct/Platformteam.
