Fossgen Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical / Solution Architect to design scalable, secure technology solutions for US-based clients. Role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering, product teams and leadership.

On-site role with significant overlap to US Eastern Time hours; candidates should be comfortable working from Pune/Bangalore/Chennai/Gurgaon, India locations. 8–22 years’ IT experience preferred.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical / Solution Architect to design scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions for our US-based clients and teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong architectural expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, product teams, and senior leadership. This role will require significant overlap with US Eastern Time working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical and solution architectures aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Define current-state and target-state architecture, technology roadmaps, and solution blueprints.
• Evaluate existing applications, platforms, integrations, and infrastructure and recommend modernization opportunities.
• Drive architecture decisions across application, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, and security domains as applicable.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards, principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure solutions comply with defined technical and security standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during design, development, testing, deployment, and production implementation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations based on business value, scalability, cost, and technical feasibility.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, scalability challenges, and potential performance bottlenecks.
• Work closely with US-based stakeholders and participate in architecture discussions, workshops, and design sessions during US EST hours.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, technical specifications, and Architecture Decision Records.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, developers, and engineering teams.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with project/product leadership to support technology strategy, planning, estimation, and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 to 22 years of overall IT experience, with relevant experience in architecture, solution design, or technical leadership.
• Strong experience in Solution Architecture / Technical Architecture / Enterprise Architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-grade technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, scalability, availability, security, and performance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with US clients or geographically distributed teams is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in US Eastern Time (EST/ET) hours on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is a plus.
• Relevant cloud or architecture certifications are desirable.
• Experience in a client-facing or consulting environment is preferred.
