Job summary

Bounteous is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and govern target-state architecture for Trade Finance, aligning with enterprise strategy. You will lead end-to-end architectural design and roadmapping, collaborating with business, product owners, and technical SMEs across regions.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of IT experience, deep knowledge of cloud-native patterns, API design, and integration with Payments and Core Banking platforms, and strong stakeholder management

Qualifications

• 15+ years overall IT experience.
• 5+ years in Solution/Enterprise Architecture.
• Location: India (preferably Gurgaon, Bangalore, or Chennai).
• Domain: Trade Finance with integration to Payments and Core Banking.
• Cloud-native architecture, microservices, API design, event-driven architecture.

Responsibilities

• Current-state analysis: collate business objectives and current-state architecture with stakeholders.
• Architectural strategy: define target-state architecture for Trade Finance aligned with enterprise guidelines.
• Solution development: design end-to-end architectural views and processes for the scope.
• Roadmap options evaluation: document and analyse options, define end-to-end roadmap.
• Implementation roadmap: outline high-level roadmap, impacts to domains, ROM, dependencies, risks.
• Review and sign off target state and roadmap with stakeholders.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Current-state analysis: Collaborate with business, product owners, architects, and technical SMEs to understand and document the current-state architecture, pain points, objectives, and strategy.
• Architectural strategy: Define the target-state architectural strategy for Trade Finance in line with the bank's strategy and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Solution development: Define target-state solution architecture; design end-to-end architectural views and processes for the scope.
• Roadmap options evaluation: Document roadmap options, analyse them, and define the end-to-end roadmap for the recommended option.
• Implementation roadmap: Define the high-level implementation roadmap and document impacts to other domains, ROM, dependencies, and risks.
• Review and sign off the target state and roadmap with relevant stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• 15+ years overall, with 5+ years in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture. Location: India (preferably Gurgaon, Bangalore, or Chennai).
• Proficient in defining target-state architecture and high-level design across business, application, data, and technology dimensions.
• Domain: Proficient in Trade Finance, with deep understanding of integration to Payments and Core Banking platforms.
• Proficient in cloud-native architecture, microservices design patterns, API design, event-driven architecture, and database concepts; good understanding of monolith-to-microservices migration.
• Able to work with multiple stakeholders across functional areas, domains, and geographies; strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Preferred: industry architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate); regulatory frameworks (Basel III, PSD2, ISO 20022).

Success Measures

• Clear, agreed target-state architecture and roadmap for Trade Finance signed off by stakeholders.
• End-to-end solution designs that deliver immediate business outcomes while progressing enterprise architecture goals.
