Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a skilled Analytics Engineer for its Bengaluru-based Procurement analytics team. The role focuses on building and maintaining dashboards and data models to support global procurement decisions.

You will work with Tableau, Power BI, SQL and Snowflake to deliver insights, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and train end-users on new dashboards. This position is based in Bangalore with on-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineer with minimum 6 CGPA, with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and Practical experience in tools like – Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake database analyst experience, Python, Statistical modelling
• Practical experience and knowledge in statistical concepts , supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Hands-on experience in data analytics including building dashboards and visualization
• Analytical mindset to be able to work with massive amount of data. Utilize storytelling techniques to present data and insights in a way that drives decision-making and inspires action
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to work in a diverse team environment.
• Should be self-motivated and to be able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and visualizations for Procurement KPIs using Tableau, Power BI, SQL and Snowflake.
• Apply critical thinking to understand processes, form hypotheses, collect data and derive insights.
• Create logic and calculations for metrics to deliver insights for procurement stakeholders globally.
• Collaborate with engagement leads, commercial ops, data engineering and procurement management to deliver analytics.
• Engage stakeholders with updates and troubleshoot data/dashboard issues.
• Prepare docs and train end-users on dashboards/reports.

Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.

What role you will play in team

Globally provide support to Procurement organization by assisting in deriving valuable business insights & propose solutions for strategic business planning through visualization by developing and maintaining dashboards. Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical tools and visualizations using various systems like SQL server, Snowflake database, tableau and PowerBI.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and visualizations for Procurement department capturing the key KPIs and metrics, using analytical tools like Tableau, Power BI, SQL and Snowflake database.
• Clear critical thinking to understand business processes , form hypothesis – collect data to verify hypothesis and collect insights.
• Develop logics & calculations for metrics, build customized insights to support procurement stakeholders on local, regional and global basis.
• Collaborate effectively with Engagement Leads, Procurement commercial and operation Teams, Data Engineering and Procurement Management to understand the requirements and deliver the analytical needs.
• Regularly engage stakeholders to provide status updates and address any potential opportunities with the metrics or data sets. Troubleshoot issues related to data and dashboards as and when needed.
• Prepare technical & functional documentation, Train end-users on new dashboards and reports.

About you
