Job summary

Prosim Research & Development is seeking a skilled Skid Design Engineer to draft equipment and foundation layouts using AutoCAD, and to build skid 3D models with SolidWorks, Plant 3D or Revit.

You will perform PFD/PID reviews, prepare BOMs, and ensure compliance with ASME B31.1/B31.3 while coordinating with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Draft Equipment/Foundation Layout using AutoCAD.
• Create Skid 3D models from Basic Engineering docs using SolidWorks, Plant 3D or Revit.
• Perform peer reviews following Quality procedures for skid deliverables.
• Review PFD/PID, Equipment Layout/Skid Pipe Routing, 2D drawings and BOM.
• Ensure ASME B31.1 and B31.3 compliance; prepare compliance reports.

Responsibilities

• Draft equipment/layout sketches and foundation plans with AutoCAD.
• Develop skid 3D models using SolidWorks/Plant 3D and Revit.
• Conduct peer reviews per Global Quality procedures.
• Analyze PFD/PID and routing, extract 2D deliverables and BOM.

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Skid Design Engineer to join our team, embodying ProSIMs commitment to resourcing the world. The position requires proficiency in 2D/3D design software for creating detailed skid models (AutoCAD, Solidworks/AutoDesk Plant 3D), As-Built drawings, and equipment layouts. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive skid designs based on engineering documentation, performing stress analysis, and ensuring compliance with ASME standards (B31.3/B31.1). The ideal candidate will conduct peer reviews following Global Quality procedures, participate in model reviews, and manage material requisitions. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail in preparing technical documentation, collaborating within cross-functional teams, and maintaining project schedules. Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

Must-Have Requirements

1. Able to draft Equipment/Foundation Layout using AutoCAD software
2. Able to prepare Skid 3D Model based on Basic Engineering documents using 3D Modeling softwares like Solidworks, Plant 3D, Revit,etc
3. Able to understand & perform peer reviews Quality procedures, processes for skid deliverables.
4. Able to perform PFD/PID Review, Equipment Layout/Skid Pipe Routing design, 2D drawings extraction and annotation of various deliverables like GAD,plumbs & spool drawings , accurate Bill of Quantity,Support spacing(Metallic & Non-Metallic lines), prepare clash report & resolve before model review- produce compliance report.
5. Participate in 3D model reviews from concept to completion inorder to ensure designers have provided enough flexibility in pipe routing.
6. Knowledge on AsME B31.1 and B31.3 codes

Good To Have Requirements

1. Able to create standard P&ID templates which include legend, blocks, attributes, linking to spreadsheets, and extraction of AutoCAD attributes.
2. Able to perform PFD/PID Review, Equipment Layout/Skid Pipe Routing design, 2D drawings extraction and annotation of various deliverables like GAD,plumbs & spool drawings based on Internal or Client specifications,accurate Bill of Quantity,Support spacing(Metallic & Non-Metallic lines), prepare clash report & resolve before model review- produce complaince report.
3. Review Isometrics / 3D model/Spool drawing/Weldment drawing to select correct pipe support type to align with the analysis.
4. Knowledge on A36: Carbon Structural Steel,A105: Carbon Steel Forgings, for Piping Applications, A106: Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service,A312: Seamless, Welded, and Heavily Cold Worked Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe, A335: Seamless Ferritic Alloy Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service.
5. Competent to attend on-site meetings as an analysis team representative, and has other customer facing interactions

Educational Qualification:

Diploma/Engineering Degree Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering

Experience Required:

Maximum 3 to 8 years Experience of mechanical design in Water,Power,O&G or related Industry

Key Skills required:

• Software knowledge -AutoCAD, Solidworks
• Knowledge on ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code /B 31.1 Power Piping Code
