Job summary

jaivel is seeking an Associate - Design (Mechanical) to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment. You will independently perform most design tasks, ensuring delivery of a quality product to customers.

You will detail parts and assemblies, perform stress calculations and FEA, and optimize for manufacturability, cost, and weight while collaborating with manufacturing to realise designs and resolve any non-conformances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of total working experience in related domain.
• Proficient knowledge of SolidWorks and engineering design principles.
• Proficient in full design cycle of large assemblies at high-quality level.
• Knowledge of GD&T, fits and tolerances, aerospace materials, manufacturing processes.
• Lean & Six Sigma principles familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Work to team plan and deliver tasks on-time and within budget.
• Evaluate progress to plan and adjust as needed.
• Detail part and assembly design, stress calculations and FEA.
• Optimize design for manufacturability, ease of use, cost and weight.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly, test and operation docs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to realise designs.
• Resolve non-conformances to minimise impact on objectives.
• Deliver work right first time and on time in full.
• Follow SOPs, processes and best practices in work.
• Align work to KPIs and growth goals.
