Job summary

Jaivel Aerospace is seeking an Associate - Design (Mechanical) to join a high-performance team. You will independently perform design tasks, including detail and assembly design, simulations, and documentation, to ensure a great product for customers.

The role requires proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, and full design cycle of large assemblies, with an emphasis on manufacturability, cost and weight optimization. Collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and strong engineering design principles.
• Knowledge of GD&T, fits and tolerances, aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with lean and six sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Detail part and assembly design, stress calculations & FEA to validate design considerations.
• Optimize design for manufacturability, ease of use, cost & weight.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, tests and operation documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to realize design ideas.
• Address non-conformances to minimize impact on project objectives.
• Deliver work right first time and on time in full.
• Follow SOPs and apply best practices in design work.

About the Role:

We are looking foran Associate - Design (Mechanical), who thrives in a highperformance and fast paced technical environment. As anAssociate within the Design (Mechanical) team, you will beresponsible for independently performing most function tasks,ensuring that our customer receives a greatproduct.

• In-depthdomain knowledge gained at an education institution or self-learnt
• Proficientknowledge of SolidWorks & deep understanding ofengineering design principles

• Proficientknowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic andautomation design
• Proficientknowledge of IOT sensors integration in complex product
• Knowledge ofGD&T, fits and tolerances, aerospace materials,manufacturing processes & treatments
• Proficientunderstanding of quality management systems andISO9001/AS9100 standards
• Proficientunderstanding of lean & six sigma principles
• Proficiency inengineering fundamentals and emerging technologies
