Job summary

Artha Energy Resources LLP in Tamil Nadu seeks an experienced O&M Technician – Solar to manage the operation and maintenance of rooftop solar plants across multiple project sites. The role involves travel and coordination with site teams to keep plants safe, efficient, and reliable.

You will inspect panels, inverters, cables, and electrical panels; monitor performance; carry out preventive and corrective maintenance; troubleshoot basic issues; and maintain detailed site reports for the reporting

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with practical knowledge of electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with rooftop solar O&M preferred.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and site operations is required.
• Ability to travel to multiple project sites regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rooftop solar plants across multiple project sites.
• Regularly inspect panels, inverters, cables, and electrical panels.

Travel Requirement: Approximately 15 days of travel per month

About The Role

• We are looking for an experienced O&M Technician – Solar to take care of the technical operation and maintenance of rooftop solar plants across multiple project locations.
• The technician will be responsible for ensuring the solar plants are technically sound, operational, safe, and performing efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Take care of the technical operation and maintenance of rooftop solar plants.
• Regularly inspect solar panels, inverters, cables, electrical panels, and other plant equipment.
• Monitor plant performance and identify technical issues or abnormalities.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical and solar plant issues and coordinate for major breakdowns.
• Check inverter performance, generation, alarms, and equipment status.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical connections and protection systems.
• Coordinate with the cleaning vendor available at each site and ensure timely module cleaning.
• Coordinate with site representatives, vendors, and internal teams for smooth plant operations.
• Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns, generation, and site observations.
• Prepare regular site visit reports and highlight technical concerns to the reporting manager.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and safety procedures during site activities.

Site & Travel Responsibilities

• The role will involve managing/visiting approximately 5–7 solar sites located across different locations in the assigned state.
• Major project locations may include Tamil Nadu, Patna (Bihar), and other locations as per project requirements.
• Approximately 15 days of travel per month may be required for site visits, inspections, troubleshooting, and coordination.
• Candidate should be comfortable travelling to different project sites as required.

Qualification

• ITI – Electrical or Diploma – Electrical Engineering.
• Practical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.

Experience

• Rooftop Solar O&M experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in solar plant maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and site operations will be preferred.

Skills Required

• Good understanding of solar plant and electrical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cleaning vendors and site teams.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.
